The Cuddly Crew

Love being close to people, and it shows on their faces.

L・MCloseness: Wants closeness × Feelings: Shows them

The Cuddly Crew are the cats who love being around people, and whose feelings — happy, excited, a little sad — show up on their faces and in their voices right away. Even somewhere new, they tend to strike up a conversation and end up in the middle of the circle before long. People often see them as easy to talk to and the ones who brighten up a room. Their laughter and big reactions naturally warm up the atmosphere.

Because their feelings are so visible, they are also very tuned in to how others react. Behind the fun, they may be quietly keeping an eye on the mood the whole time. Some dive straight in out of curiosity and some warm up after watching for a bit, and they each decide things in their own way. What they share is this: being connected to people is what keeps them going. A day spent laughing with someone can feel complete all on its own.

01What they share

Recharged by company

Time spent with someone tends to fill them up more than time alone. A long stretch without seeing anyone can leave them feeling a bit flat.

Feelings on their face

When they're happy their voice lifts, and when they're down everyone can tell. They're not great at hiding things, which makes them easy to trust.

Warming up the room

A long silence makes them want to fill it. Many of them naturally introduce strangers to each other or spark the first laugh of the evening.

Lit up by a reaction

A compliment or a simple thank-you gives them a real boost. When there's no reaction at all, they may start wondering how it went.

02Strengths / Watch out for

Strengths

Quick to connect

They can get chatting with someone new in no time. In a new class or workplace, they're often the first to build bridges, and they're good at bringing people together.

Putting feelings into words

They say "I'm so glad" and "That really helped" freely, which makes it easier for others to open up too. The mood softens.

Lifting people up

When they notice someone feeling low, they gently check in. People sometimes say things just feel brighter when they're around. Their frequent smiles are part of the charm.

Watch out for

Time alone can feel a little lonely

A day with no plans can feel lonely. Having one thing they enjoy doing on their own helps keep their mood steady.

Swayed by reactions

A slow reply can be enough to make them anxious. Taking a breath and remembering the other person has their own life makes things much easier.

Hard to say no

Wanting to make people happy, they tend to take on too much. Saying "I've got a lot on right now" early is a kindness too.

03With other people

The Cuddly Crew feel most at home in relationships where feelings get shared straight away. With fellow Cuddly Crew members, conversations flow and the hours slip by. With the Quiet Companions, they share the wish to be close; waiting patiently for the feelings that go unspoken builds deep trust. With the Free Spirits, there's an easy honesty, and respecting their need for time alone keeps things smooth. The Solo Thinkers are the furthest from them in how much closeness they want, but if they can enjoy quiet time side by side, a calm and lasting bond can grow.

04At work and school

At work or school, they tend to shine in roles that involve people. Setting the team's mood, showing newcomers around, presenting, getting everyone on board — they're relied on wherever brightness helps. Other people's smiles seem to be their biggest motivation. Long stretches of solo, heads-down work can drain them. Having someone to check in with along the way makes it much easier to see things through.

05The four cats in this crew

LMDVPlayful KittenFriendly with everyone, pouncing on everything.

The lightest on their feet in the crew, first to pounce on anything that looks fun. They act the moment an idea hits and pull everyone into the game.

LMDCShop CatBright, thoughtful, the face everyone knows.

Brightness plus a knack for reading the whole room. They think about the plan as well as the energy, so they often end up holding the crew together.

LMBVCuddly CatLoves people, and gets a little lonely.

Loves people and wants to be close to the ones they trust. They watch for a while at first, but once they open up, their feelings flow freely.

LMBCSunbeam CatCalm, and the room relaxes around you.

The calmest of the crew, relating to people without any rush. Because they think before they move, just having them there puts everyone at ease.

06In closing

The Cuddly Crew are cats who turn connection into energy. Being able to show their feelings openly is a real comfort to the people around them. Plenty of people have probably been lifted by your smile. Make a little room for rest on your own now and then, and keep that brightness going.
