These Terms govern your use of the iOS app "APOUL ANSER VOICE" (the "App") provided by APOUL ("we"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Purpose
The App helps people communicate using text, speech, captions and predictions.
2. Not a medical device or emergency service
- The App is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or assess any condition.
- The App is not a replacement for emergency services or a nurse call system. Pressing a button never contacts a hospital, family member or emergency service automatically. In an emergency, use an appropriate service such as your local emergency number.
- Speech, captions, translations and predictions may be inaccurate. Please confirm important information with the other person.
3. Free and Plus
- Core features (typing, speech, phrases, Yes/No, the kana board, etc.) are free.
- The "Plus" subscription (monthly, at the price shown in the App Store) adds more features.
- Plus is an auto-renewing App Store subscription. It renews automatically for the same period and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device. We cannot cancel on your behalf.
- Purchases, refunds and billing follow Apple's terms.
- If Plus ends, free features keep working, and your phrases, history and settings are not deleted.
4. Your data
- The App's data is stored only on your device. We do not hold it and cannot restore it for you.
- Before changing devices or deleting the App, we recommend exporting a backup from the App's Backup feature.
- Data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Prohibited use
Do not use the App for any unlawful purpose.
6. Disclaimer
- We do not guarantee that the App fits any particular purpose or will always work without errors.
- Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for damages arising from use of the App. Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the month the damage occurred, unless such a limit is not permitted by applicable law.
7. Changes to or ending of the App
We may change or end the App after giving notice.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Updated Terms take effect when posted on this page.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Shizuoka District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance, except where local consumer law requires otherwise.
